I get it, when you find out you’re pregnant, you immediately start researching what you need to buy when your baby is born. There are hundreds of different opinions out there on what you should or shouldn’t buy. That was me. I was going to buy things that, in the end, I didn’t actually need. And things that I did buy and hardly used at all!

However, there are some things that I absolutely don’t regret buying. So that’s why I formed this list of a few things that I truly use on a day-to-day basis and still love to this day!

1. Travel Crib

This is a great option to have when you travel often in general. A lot of Airbnbs and hotel rooms won’t have cribs, so a travel crib comes in real handy. The only thing I would say with this one is that you would need to have transportation for your crib to your destination.

Also, most travel cribs don’t normally come with a mattress, which I recommend buying for your baby to sleep well at night.

I loved the aesthetic look of the natural wood cribs that you see everywhere, which was what we were planning on buying. And bought this one as a ‘for now’ for her to use. Someone did end up giving us a wooden crib, although my baby still uses her travel crib to this very day.

Who knows. Some day we might pack up the travel crib and set up the other one for her, but she is 7 months old, and it has worked great up until now!

I also love that she won’t ever harm herself in it because of the security netting it has, especially when she was learning to sit, she would fall back and hit the netting over and over again!

2. Montessori Toy Set

This set was one of the first toys I bought for her, and it has so many different options for all different occasions. It is truly a versatile toy set. And most of them can also be used as bath toys!

And of course, when talking about bath toys, we have to bring up the infamous rubber ducky mold situation everyone has been talking about lately. But not to worry, as most of these toys don’t allow for water to get trapped inside, so all good there!

Plus, my baby is very curious and independent in nature, so that’s why I chose this set in particular!

3. Baby High Chair

A good quality high chair is a must when your baby starts solids. The right chair makes the difference in ensuring your baby is introduced to food with good habits, and also, in a way, it is easy for them to reach the food with ease. Plus, a chair that is comfortable for your baby will ensure they get a positive experience from starting their eating journey!

4. Diaper Bin With Touch Sensor

This was something I thought was a bit silly when my husband suggested it, but I must say it is something I would definitely buy again. A sensor bin is great in the bedroom or nursery because of its practicality and for hygiene reasons as well.

The only downside to the specific one we got is that it’s very sensitive and opens if you get too near it. So if I were you, I would probably purchase one that is slightly better quality, and always make sure to check the reviews too!

5. Night Light

Have you ever knocked things over or tripped because you wanted to put your baby back in their crib in the pitch black? Yep, I think we’ve all been there. And if you want to avoid using your phone torch to try and see in the dark, a night light is always a good idea to purchase.

I got a little rechargeable ducky lamp, which I thought was cute and practical as it was like a torch but with all different colour settings on it. Plus, it doubles as a toy which my baby loves!

So there you have it! Some baby things I can say I don’t regret buying. Plus, most of these things are very affordable too.
